Comic Con post!

This past weekend was the Comic Convention in San Diego. The Lost producers hosted a panel. There are many recordings of this panel but it is very difficult to find one in it's entirety because they showed several clips during the panel. This web site has most of the panel and the best quality. It's a little under an hour long:

Not included in the above recording, were these faux-comercials. There wasn't much of an explanation of how they fit in with Lost. They were just introduced as "a word from our sponsors."

If you don't have time or desire to watch the whole thing, here are some of the details revealed during the question and answer portions. (This will be spoiler free.)

Damon and Carlton were very evasive about Season 6 but would admit we may see a few characters who have not been seen for several seasons as well as some characters who have already died. We should also get a backstory on Richard Alpert which will be "involved." But we won't see very much of Dharma, time travel, or flash forwards. Similar to Season 1, we will see a lot of running through the jungle scenes. They would not give us a name for the man in black (commonly referred to as Esau.) But when one fan asked if Jacob had ever appeared as anyone else, they gave a firm "no."

At one point, Jorge Garcia (Hurley) posed as a fan and walked to the question mic. He asked if the faux-commercials were true does that mean the bomb worked, and wouldn't that cancel the first 5 seasons. He added "Because we all hope that's not the case, because that'd be like, you know, a real big cheat." Darlton replied, "You just have to trust us." Hurley then quipped, "The last time I trusted you guys you said that Nikki and Paulo were gonna be awesome!"

The panel ended with a video entitled "In Memoriam." It was various clips of characters who have died on the show. I highly suggest you follow the nudia link above and fast forward to the 40 minute mark to watch it. It's very interesting how the audience reacted with cheers, sighs, and giggles for certain characters. You might need to grab a tissue before you watch it.

Namaste!
