Welcome

Welcome to Lost Thoughts by V! You can read my profile to learn how and why this blog was created. Basically I'm just a huge fan of abc's Lost who wants to share her insights with anyone who will listen. If you are a new Lost fan or never received my emails last season, I've uploaded them to the archives of this blog.

Season 5 of Lost will begin on Jan 21, 2009 at 8/7c with a recap show and two full episodes. Then it will aire every Wednesday night at 10/9c. (But check your local listings to make sure.) My intention for this blog is to post my immediate reactions and insights late on Wednesday nights. Then a few days later, after checking all my regular Lost sites, I'll post a more in-depth analysis.

Going into this season there are a few things you should know. In the summer, during the Comic Con in San Diego, the show's producers released a video clip staring the man we've known as Marvin Candle and several other aliases. You can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdWLYVRiin8

Many people (including me) have speculated that the off-camera voice is Daniel Farraday.

Another puzzling piece that has surfaced during the hiatus is Ajira Airlines. This logo showed up during the Lost Season 5 Music Video which first aired November 20th during Grey's Anatomy. And there is a web site for the fake airlines: http://www.ajiraairways.com/

The word "ajira" means "island" in Hindi. There seems to be some hidden messages at the site and many of the facts are Lost-related. For example, the list of cities one can fly to all seem to be cities the Lost characters have lived in or traveled to. Right now it is unclear if this is some sort of online game or if abc will be using it for some other purpose.

There have been 2 short scenes from the season premiere released by abc. If you don't mind spoilers, you can check them out at http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost Normally, I don't watch any spoilers. I don't like to be in the middle of a new episode and then get to a scene where I already know what will happen. But this hiatus has been so long, I couldn't resist these.

I hope this new blog is helpful to you. You can become a follower if you want to post comments. We have only a few short days until our next "Lost Day!"

Namaste!
