An extra Email

I just want to remind everyone you must check your local listings for the proper air times of Lost this Thursday. It should be starting 1 hour earlier and will be a two-hour finale. Also, they are re-airing last week's episode (There's No Place Like Home, Part 1) the hour before the finale. You will want to re-watch it (or record it) because it will include extra footage, not in last week's episode. According to a podcast interview with the producers, one of the scenes with extra footage will be the press conference of the Oceanic 6. So set your DVR/VCR accordingly.

It's always with such mixed feelings that I approach a season finale. What a treat to have two full hours of brand new Lost. It'll be nice to have several questions answered. It will be intereseting to have new things to debate over the hiatus. But then there's the hiatus. The long wait. Lost will not return until sometime in 2009. I have several friends who became fans this year. They watched the first 3 seasons at break-neck speed to catch up with us in season 4. I feel sad for them because they are "Hiatus newbees." They are about to find out how hard it is to wait 8 months for a new "Lost Day." But that is the cost of loving this show. So this Thursday night, I'll savor every minute and try not to cry when the final "Lost" thuds onto the screen.
